I did a two-day full-body workout including heavy weights for the first time in a while. It’s Wednesday morning and my body can clearly feel the impact. It was also a chilly morning, so it was a perfect opportunity to use a hack that brings me energy—a plunge into the river. So here’s today’s routine:
- 0.5 km run to the river
- 3 minutes lying down in the river
- 40 pull-ups (22, 18)
- 120 push-ups (70, 50)
- Battle ropes (2×45 sec)
I read that cold plunges or even cold showers help with muscle inflammation, so a part of today’s workout was about recovery. But at the same time, cold water gives an energy boost. Right away, you don’t really feel fatigue or soreness in your muscles, so quick upper body training was in order. Although I spent about 10 minutes doing exercises, I got a pretty good pump at the end—exceptionally good, I would even say. Interesting.
