Different kind of Saturday morning as I am alone with my almost 3-year-old. I cannot leave him alone in the morning, so did a short workout at home. Yesterday I bought a weighted vest, 15kg adjustable, so today I tried it out:
- 5min streching
- 30 burpess in a row in a weighted vest (15kg)
- 30min with a vest doing chores
As I said – different kind of workout. 30 burpees might not sound a lot when I do 80 weight-free, but looking back at my journal, around 8-9 months ago I actually did 20 burpees in a row and felt exhausted. Progress nevertheless. Now – question is why do I need a vest. Well, doing hundreds of reps can help you so much. At some point it might be more of a burden on your joints. Also it’s time efficient. On the other hand, it is a level up in both strength training and endurance. Also I’d like to get that feeling of lightness when you walk/workout without a vest. Still not sure how big of a role the vest will have in my daily routine, but next week I’m planning to go outside every morning with it. Except gym.
