The storm has ended, time for a gym workout. Woke up at 05:30. I also have a new ritual before going out—I was influenced by a couple of people to try AG1 supplements. I mentioned before that multivitamins usually give me a headache due to dehydration (meaning I don’t need them), but for some time I’ve been looking for something to help me recover faster. So for the last 5 days, I’ve been drinking AG1. I wouldn’t say I feel any different yet, but that’s normal. As a reminder, I also take BCAA and vitamins D and K daily. I’ll update on the progress.
Back to the workout:
- 2km run with a vest (15kg)
- Bench press (60×10, 80×8, 90×5, 95×4, 100×2, 105×2)
- That interesting chest exercise YouTube 4 x 8 (25kg, 30kg, 30kg, 30kg)
It seems I’m back at my peak performance! Although I did not try 107.5kg, overall I did most reps with these weights ever. I also increased weights with the dumbbell exercise, but I’m not sure if that is the way to go. I try to get the dumbbells as low as I can, and 30kg might be too much to do the exercise as best as I am able to.
And that was my first month in the gym. I made progress and also I’m rather enjoying spending 1-2 workouts a week there. It makes the routine more diverse, and that’s very important for the long run.
