2024/07/31 – training #50 (3/6 weekly)

Decided to do a semi-recovery workout today. It’s gotten a little chilly here, and to my surprise, the river is as cold as it is in spring. Such a sudden temperature change seems very unlikely, but today the water was stinging. Also, the current is much stronger, and the river is a bit flooded after the storm. It was difficult to find a spot to lay down due to all the debris. Such changes in the environment make a morning more interesting. And here’s what I did:

  • 90-120 seconds laying down in the river (cold finally)
  • 2km run with a vest (15kg)

So mostly recovery, but after the river, I got an energy boost and I used it for slowly running laps. Overall, I spent ~20-25 minutes with the vest. After several days with the vest, my traps are really feeling it. Still, 3 days to go to complete the 6-day vest challenge.

Also I have padel game during the lunch, so I’ll be doing some extra cardio today.
